Here the public will be greeted by reception, or enter the Video visitation room located in the lobby.

Lobby Hours: 8 Am - 4 pm Monday-Friday


Visiting Inmates

Visits may be done according to the following schedule:

Inmates may visit with family and/or friends using the Video Visitation system.

1. Each inmate may have two visits per week of twenty minutes each.

  1. 2.Each visit is limited to two visitors. Small children are not included in this number but  are the responsibility of the visitor and should be under control at all times.

3. Visitors may not:

   a. have been an inmate in this facility within the past 30 days.

   b. have an outstanding warrant from anywhere

   c. be under the age of 18, unless accompanied by THEIR PARENT/GUARDIAN.

   d. smell of alcohol

             Visiting Hours:

  1. Sunday...............6 p.m. - 9 p.m.

  2. Monday..............6 p.m. - 9 p.m.

  3. Tuesday.............Noon - 3 p.m

  4. Thursday............Noon - 3 p.m.

  5. Friday.................Noon - 3 p.m.

  6. Saturday.............6 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Illinois Sheriffs’ Association Announces Scholarships

The Illinois Sheriffs’ Association announces that it will be awarding more than $54,500.00 in college scholarships throughout the state of Illinois to students wishing to pursue higher education during the 2017-2018 academic year. The scholarships are to be applied to tuition, books and fees only. The student must be enrolled full-time at a certified institution of higher learning within the state of Illinois.

Moultrie County sheriff Chris Sims will be awarding one scholarship in the amount of $500.00.

There will be no restriction on any applicant by reason of race, age, creed, color, sex or national origin. The only limitations are as follows:

• Applicants must be permanent Illinois residents

• Scholarships must be utilized at institutions of higher learning within the state of Illinois

• Students must be enrolled as a full-time student during the 2017-2018 school year (excluding summer session)

Applications are now available at the local sheriff’s office or on the ISA website Students must complete the application; answer the essay question and return all documentation to the sheriff’s office in their permanent county of residence by March 15, 2017 (must be postmarked by this date).
